Confidential Real Estate Company

“The design drew inspiration from nature and the laid-back beach community. We challenged our client, a buttoned-up financial/real estate firm, to think differently about their space. We evoked a sense of casualness in the space while maintaining the professionalism they were seeking.”

Case Study

This global financial and real estate services firm recently underwent a global rebranding to emphasize its worldwide reach and future vision. The client aimed to create modern, open workspaces that depart from traditional layouts and infuse local character into their offices. In El Segundo, our design reflects the casual elegance of the tech-centric beach community, featuring exposed ceilings, concrete floors, and a mix of cool grays and warm browns. Natural elements like living walls and weathered wood accents connect the interior with the Pacific Ocean’s beauty, offering unobstructed views. Rather than a formal reception desk, a long white laminate table serves as a self-check-in station. This setup incorporates technology, reclaimed wood, and plants. Opposite this, a cozy sitting area encourages informal meetings, favoring open spaces over enclosed rooms. The office’s highlight is its expansive outdoor deck, accessed via sliding glass doors, while inside, the main open work area is complemented by contemporary furniture for a timeless, relaxed ambiance.
