American Business Bank, a legacy financial institution specializing in middle market companies, embarked on a transformative journey for its headquarters. Previously situated in the historic PacMutual building since its inception in 1997, ABB recognized the need for change as their growth left the office feeling disjointed. Their new corporate headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles focuses on modernizing the ABB brand and cultivating a space that balances contemporary elements with a touch of conservatism. Transparency and warmth take center stage in ABB’s vision for the new workspace. The 3rd-floor Reception area sets the tone with frameless glass doors, expansive windows, wood-clad walls, and concrete flooring, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere throughout the office. The Teller Line, strategically designed for a more personal customer experience, leads to an Executive wing featuring a small Coffee Bar and a technologically advanced Board Room. Glass-front offices and meeting rooms, along with carefully positioned Open Offices, optimize natural daylighting for the entire staff. The floor layout encourages collaboration, with thoughtful organization allowing easy accessibility between departments. A centralized multi-functional Kitchen and adjacent Training Room provide flexibility for company gatherings, with an operable partition maximizing usable space. American Business Bank’s new office space not only captures the essence of their brand but also instills a renewed sense of pride among employees, propelling the company into a new era of growth and innovation.
